Ministry of Home Affairs announces unlock 1.0 on May 30 which will replace lockdown 4.0 from June 1 in India. Centre delivering relaxation on hard lockdown phases since March 25.
The people of the nation was eagerly waiting for the next decision of the government. The decision of unlocking the lockdown has given birth to mixed reaction throughout the nation.
MHA on Saturday issues new guidelines for unlock 1.0 and re-opening of all activities outside containment zones for the next one month. Accordingly the countdown will be starting from June 1. The guidelines will come into effect from June 1, 2020 and will be effective till June 30, 2020. According to the MHA the current phase of re-opening, Unlock 1, will have an economic focus.
In Phase I, religious places and places of worship for public, hotels, restaurants, other hospitality services, and shopping malls will be permitted to open from June 8. In Phase II, schools, colleges, educational/training/coaching institutions etc, will be opened after consultations with States and Union Territories (UT). In Phase III, dates for the opening of the above activities will be decided based on an assessment of the situation. However, lockdown shall continue to be implemented strictly in the containment zones.
India witnessed the first and the greatest lockdown ever with four different phases till May 30. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also thanked the citizens for keeping patience in the fight against COVID-19.
