Assam is going to walk apart Unlock 3 guidelines. The state is in favour of continuing with many of the lockdown restrictions till 15th August at least.
On the contrary, the ministry of home affairs on Wednesday announced the unlock 3 guidelines to allow re-opening of more activities outside containment zones.
The Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informs that the state government took this step to avoid Independence crowed probably, to ease the current pandemic situation. The inter-district movement will also remain suspended during this period.
The state will not follow the Unlock 3 guidelines entirety but will go for partial implementation from 1st August 1 to keep the COVID situation under control.
The Assam government has allowed inter-district movement on July 30 and 31 ahead of Eid-Ul-Adha. It was restricted from July 22 to contain COVID-19 pandemic. Though the centre has removed night curfew during the Unlock 3 from August 1, it will remain in force in Assam.
