A study by cabinet ministry reveals that Northeast India has three COVID-19 hotspot zones. The total corona positives from the various districts of Assam, Tripura and Mizoram contributes a huge in the total COVID-19 tally of the nation.
The cabinet ministry has identified and mentions a total of 145 districts, in which these three northeastern states also being marked. According to the studies of cabinet ministry, approximately 2,147 active cases in the various districts of Assam accounts for 2.5% of the total cases in India.Tripura and Manipur too marked as the same with the gradual increase in COVID cases.
The Centre has identified many new districts as virus epicenters. Mostly rural areas have reported COVID-19 infections over the past three weeks. This warned that they could emerge as hotspots for the virus if effective containment measures are not undertaken.
