17 people seriously injured when a group clash breaks out in Assam during lockdown. The incident takes place at Katigorah of Cachar district on wednasday.

When the whole mankind is struggling with COVID19, a group clash breaks out in Assam. More than 20 people injured in the incident and 17 people admitted in Silchar Medical collage out of which 7 people are serious condition.

The incident takes place when one car overtake another. The argument between the two driver Nirmal Das and Ali Hussain turned into a group clash. One group attack the other with sharp weapon. Within a flash of span the situation turned viral and brings a riotous situation.

Dilip Dey the DIG of Southern Range, Manabendra Debroy the Police Superintended of Cachar and Jagadish Das the Additional SP of Cachar rushed to the outbreak and manage to control the situation. Local Katigorah police sent all the injured to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH).

Talking with local people, SP Manobendra Debroy asked for public support to arrest the accused. He said, strong action will be taken against the culprits so that no such incident repeats again. No political pressure will be cared in this regard.

No arrest reported so far but tense prevailing in local area of Katigiorah.
