About 95% of work is done to start Lakhmipur Medical College. Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wishes to complete Lakhmipur and Diphu Medical Colleges within November 30, this year.

As the initialisation process to inaugurate the Lakhimpur Medical College, Himanta Biswa Sarma handed over appointment letters to 358 doctors and nurses in Assam for the new LMC.

Special measures are been taking to plan a medical college for Karimganj district also. Biswa Sarma is also willing to complete Medical Colleges in Dhubri, Tinsukia, Nalbari, and Nagaon districts of Assam as soon as possible.

Assam as the strongest opponent of COVID spread fighting against the virus along with a huge force of health workers. Doctors and nurses working day and night to protect Assam from more COVID transmission.
