Assam Government worried about the rapid spread of COVID-19 in the state. CM asked people to be careful enough and requested not to come out of home, unless it is very necessary.

The way in which the number of COVID-19 cases are detected in the state is really a matter of concern for all. As per government report the positive cases reported in the state is 8,955. In last 24 hours 378 positive cases reported only from Guwahati City. It is supposed that the positive cases will cross 10k in the state very shortly. The incident raised concerns among both the health minister and the chief minister.

In such a situation the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal urges to the people of Assam for being extremely careful. He requested people not go out unless absolutely necessary. he advised to follow official guidelines for COVID-19. The CM urges people always to wear a mask and maintain social distance.

The Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal addressed the security forces as the real hero in the battle against COVID-19. He expressed gratitude to the on-duty police personnel for their selfless service in an interaction at Zoo Road in Guwahati.

He said, “Our security forces are playing a significant role in keeping the public safe, as our battle against COVID-19 reaches another critical phase in Assam.”
