China has released 10 Indian soldiers on Thursday evening who were missing since the violent face-off with Chines soldiers at Galwan Valley of Ladakh on Monday.
20 Indian soldiers including the Commanding Officer of 16 Bihar Colonel Santosh Babu and others were killed in the conflict between the two countries after 45 years.
Near about 43 soldiers were claimed to death in the dispute. Where as missing of Indian soldiers including majors and captains were missing.
The 10 Indian soldiers were in the custody of the Chinese Army since Monday last. After a prolonged discussion at the major general level, 10 soldiers included two majors and two captains were released.
In a statement by Indian Army on Thursday it is said, “no Indian troops are missing in action”. But it did not mention the release of the soldiers, it means that the statement was made after the release of the soldiers by China.
It is supposed that the main focus of the high-level talks since Tuesday had been the release of the Indian soldiers. The issue was also discussed during the diplomatic parleys going on between the two countries.
