Government of Arunachal Pradesh going to initiate a peace talk with Assam Government to resolve the boundary dispute over a decade.
Assam forest department is allegedly the culprit in the name of inter-state border dispute have been looting Arunachalees and plundering their cultivated areas.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu announces the initiatives on Thursday. Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Guwahati had also requested to resolve the disputes among the Assam and Arunachal state governments about the decades-old imbroglio through talks.
The Arunachal Pradesh government had sent a letter to Assam government in 2019 but no response has been received yet but now the process would be accelerated with the BJP ruling in Arunachal and Assam, both being very good neighbours.
